This giant puppy is health and robust. She doesn't appear to have any health issues whatsoever at this time.
General Behavioral Notes:
This puppy appears to have an overt confidence about her. She is generally quiet and doesn't make a fuss or racket about needing her momma. This puppy can become agitated when she doesn't get what she wants. This puppy appears to have a keen intelligence and awareness of her surroundings. She is generally not challenged by her siblings. This puppy appears to be more of an alpha mentality, not a beta. She is certainly not a push-over.
Temperament Test #2:
This puppy sat up during the rough pet. She was loose, still, and quiet throughout the task. Almost anticipating the next pet. This puppy was loose, still, and quiet during the lift. This puppy was initially loose, still, and quiet during the turn. At the moment the handler was going to flip her back, she appeared to have anticipated the turn and began to resist the boundaries. The handler held the boundaries, but instead of submitting, this puppy began to wale against the handler's resistant grasp. This puppy fought for about 20 seconds until she finally settled. However, once settled, she was no longer loose, but someone rigid in body. This puppy grunted and yawned during this time, as well. This puppy stopped all rigidity once she was turned back over. She immediately became loose, still, and quiet once again. In fact, when held close to the handler in an unfamiliar environment, this puppy rooted around, sniffing vigorously, and then licked the handler's skin. This puppy was quiet interactive with the handler during this task. This puppy stayed with the handler when placed back into the den away from her siblings. She turned to sniff at the handler's foot and then walked a ways off not going toward the puppy pile, but over to the small unoccupied bed nearby. Then, she turned around and walked back to the handler, grunting softly, as if under her breath. This puppy then sniffed the handler's feet once again and then returned to the puppy pile.
This puppy receives a score of 7.5 for this temperament test.
Temperament Test #1:
This puppy came into the world like she owned the place. She moved about with ease and found her way to the milk bar without support. This puppy grunted softly when touched, but did not move. This puppy was loose and still during the lift, but grunted. This puppy was still and quiet on the scale. During the turn, this puppy was slightly stiff in her legs, but they were not drawn in. She was quiet. This puppy moved her head from side to side as if searching when placed back into the den away from mom. She was quiet and then moved in the correct direction after a few seconds.
This puppy receives a score of 8.9 for this temperament test.
General Appearance Notes:
This puppy is the largest female in the litter. She is jet black with a small wave to her longer coat length. She has a lower undercoat. This puppy has a large head, but it isn't broad in shape.
Birth Notes:
The eighth puppy born at 9:35 pm is a giant solid black female weighing 1 lbs 8.25 oz. She grunted and whined until she got warm. She also struggled and grunted softly when lifted and placed on the scale. (pink)
