BIRTH NOTES
The first puppy is a massive giant puppy, the heaviest, bulkiest newborn puppy I have ever seen! This puppy has a robustness to his body type. He moves about on his limbs, propelling himself forward, without wobbling. He is steadfast and sturdy.

Birth weight: 1 lbs. 11 oz.

GENERAL NOTES
Already in his short life, this puppy has demonstrated the ideal inherited temperament for the American Dirus dog. He has been caught howling a few times, but other than that vocalization tendency, he is silent and highly aware of his surroundings. This puppy shows a remarkable confidence with a highly calm and docile demeanor. This combination is exactly what we hope to produce in all puppies throughout the breed. Everest shows a high intelligence, able to learn new tasks with ease. He is resilient and self-sufficient, but yielding to others in a calm and secure manner. This puppy will be loving and affectionate, seeking human companionship within a deep, connected relationship. This puppy is also intuitive, using his senses to seek out important information about the humans in his life. Because of this, Everest would be great as a service dog, especially in the psychiatric and mobility disciplines. This puppy does not like to be bored. When he is awake and nothing is going on, he has a tendency to let the world know. I am very excited to see just how Everest will develop over the next year.

TEMPERAMENT TEST #2
This puppy sat during the rough pet. He did not move forward or backward, did not move his head, and was silent throughout the pet. This puppy moved his feet when lifted. Once off the ground, he hung loosely. He was still and quiet throughout. His head did look around a little surveying the puppy den from above. This puppy completely relaxed his body on the turn. He legs and tail became more and more loose as time went along. This puppy kept his head upright. He looked around slightly. This puppy was silent throughout the turn. Not only was this puppy not head shy during the pet on the head in an unfamiliar environment, but he sniffed the handler's hair and clothes in a curious manner. His body was loose and silent during this part of the test. This puppy moved back to the puppy pile when placed back into the den away from his siblings. Less than a minute later, however, he returned to the spot where he was placed and turned toward the handler, looking up. At that point, the handler touched his cheeks and he moved his head in toward the handler's hands.

This puppy receives an overall score of 10+ for this temperament test.

TEMPERAMENT TEST #1
This puppy was quiet for the first 24 hours after birth. This puppy did not mind being touched or lifted by a human. This puppy did not wiggle or cry out on the scale.

This puppy receives an overall score of 10 for this temperament test.

BIRTH NOTES
This puppy is extremely calm and quiet. He moves deliberately and with ease. He found the nipple without having to learn how to mouth it. He latched on right away, as if he had known all along how to suckle. This male moves about with ease. He appears to know exactly where he is going. He did not wiggle on the scale and has been completely silent.

2nd WEEK NOTES:
This puppy is a giant white male. His nose and pads of the feet turned black over the first week after birth. This puppy has highly slanted eyes and a giant, broad head shape. This puppy appears to have a long coat without feathering, which we hope to increase in the breed. This puppy does not appear to have furnishings.

BIRTH NOTES
This puppy is white and looks like he is five days old already! He is broad, muscular, and thick boned. His head is the largest ever recorded in a newborn at Dire Wolf Project headquarters.
