FOUR WEEK UPDATE:

This puppy appears healthy in every way. At one point, I thought I noticed his left front foot turned out to the side in a picture, but it must've been his particular pose because he places his feet straight when walking. This puppy does not appear to have an structural issues and looks to be perfectly healthy at this time.

BIRTH NOTES:

This puppy was born at midnight on the 6th. He was born head first with the sack broken upon delivery.

FOUR WEEK UPDATE:

This puppy responds positively to human voice. He immediately wags his tail and follows the sound to find the human. In fact, he is often found wagging his tail. This puppy is outgoing and curious of new people or objects in his environment. This puppy has energy and loves to play, wrestle, and joke. This puppy is a happy dog with a confident disposition. He can get startled by a loud, sudden noise, but recovers well and will investigate (with some caution) afterwards.

This puppy is bold and outgoing, which means he may do first and think second. His family should expect to set boundaries for him so that his precociousness doesn't get him in trouble. His humans should anticipate his tendency to explore and make sure it is safe to do so before allowing it.

That being said, he is still an American Dirus dog with deep rooted emotional sensitivity. He can experience emotional trauma and become wounded. Therefore, it's wise not to take his outgoing nature for granted. Do not push him to meet strangers or strange dogs without knowing the consequences of doing so. It might be tempting because he is initially confident, but bad/traumatic experiences causing fear (especially repeated over time) can hinder his outgoing nature, so be aware.

TEMPERAMENT TEST:

This puppy remained loose, still, and quiet during the rough pet. This puppy was loose, still, and quiet during the lift. This puppy was loose, still, and quiet during the turn. This puppy was loose, still, and quiet after being placed in an unknown location. This puppy did not flinch or startle when pet on the head in this unknown location. This puppy turned back toward the handler's foot and sniffed it when placed back into the den away from his siblings. After a few seconds, he then stood up and strode back to his siblings.

This puppy receives a 10+ for this temperament test.

BIRTH NOTES:

He is quiet and wiggled only slightly in an unfamiliar location.

FOUR WEEK UPDATE:

This puppy is a giant silver male. He has a medium length coat and large paws. Darker eyes. He also has white tipping on his coat throughout his neck and shoulders.

BIRTH NOTES:

The fifth puppy is an extra large silver male. He is long instead of broad and robust. He isn’t necessarily thin, but he is long with a long neck. He has just a slight bit of white on his chin, everywhere else is dark skin pigmentation.
