BIRTH NOTES
This puppy is the tiniest puppy in the litter. He was thin and his tummy was empty at birth. This puppy was not weak, though. When placed near a nipple, he puzzled it out mightily. When he figured out how the milk bar worked, he ate and ate and ate for an hour. Because he was initially scrawny, I placed him onto a nipple many time over the course of the first 24-hours, to encourage him to eat heartily. After this first 24-hour period, his physique looks much better with a plumper, rounded-out body. However, his size remains quite a bit smaller than any of his other siblings.

Birth Weight: 13.25 oz

GENERAL NOTES:
This puppy is highly intelligent. He analyzes and problem solves. This puppy must have wait time to ponder and think. If you push him, he will become confused. This puppy is submissive and very sensitive to touch. With proper training, this puppy will be excellent with leash pressure. He will submit to clear boundaries and rules. This puppy will test the rules and boundaries, though, so be prepared to help remind him with clear, firm, but respectful, corrections. He will not need harsh corrections. He is a sensitive emotional boy with a gentle heart. He is calm, as well, and so he won't have a lot of energy or rowdiness, unless the environment promotes that sort of behavior. This puppy will be a loving snuggler. He will want to be with his people, highly devoted and loyal. This puppy is on the quiet side of life. He will benefit from socialization experiences that are positive and respectful of his sensitive emotions. This puppy will be happiest in a family who can give clear and consistent rules right from the beginning; a family who knows how to teach a puppy exactly what is expected. This puppy will be well with children, other dogs, and cats. A wonderful sweet, loving, small boy with a great big emotional soul.

TEMPERAMENT TEST #2
This puppy laid down for the rough pet. He did not move until the end, when he crawled forward one step with his front feet. This puppy did not move his head down and was silent throughout. This puppy was initially loose, but then lifted both back legs. He then briefly loosened them again. When the handler moved to turn him, he immediately anticipated the turn and "helped" the handler twist him onto his back. Once on his back, this puppy lifted his legs, much like the lift task. As a result, his back curled slightly. He tested the boundaries twice in quick succession. When he felt no give, he relaxed and did not continue to check the resistance. He did not loosen his body completely. He was, however, silent throughout this task. This puppy did not flinch or stiffly tilt his head until the end, when he moved his head to the right and his right paw up to his face. He yawned twice. This puppy sat upon being placed back into the den away from his siblings. His head swiveled around and his nose sniffed. He stood and took a few steps forward, then abruptly changed directions and meandered back to the puppy pile, moving right past the handler's hands without care.

This puppy receives an overall score of 8 for this temperament test.

TEMPERAMENT TEST #1
This puppy was quiet for the first 24 hours after birth. This puppy did not wiggle on the scale. This puppy does not mind being touched or lifted by a human.

This puppy receives an overall score of 10 for this temperament test.

BIRTH NOTES
This puppy is persistent. He also gives to direction, which suggests he will be submissive and very respectful of authority. This puppy is quiet and still, but can get excited when going after a nipple. This puppy is a problem solver. He thinks through problems and would do best with a positive learning environment where he can participate in his own learning. This puppy will not need a lot of correction. He will be easy to handle. This puppy is very smart, but doesn't want to try unless he knows how. This puppy will learn by observing and with consistent repetition.

2nd WEEK NOTES:
This puppy looks to have a medium length black coat type without feathering or furnishings. He has a rounder head shape with a small, thin frame. This puppy will likely only reach 90 lbs as an adult, if that, standing 27 inches tall.

BIRTH NOTES
This puppy is all black with a tiny white patch on his chest. This puppy is the smallest puppy in the litter. He has a small, thin body type with a more square body shape (not long in body).
