11/7/2018:
Sat with the puppies today and noticed a few things about each of them that I wanted to share here for you.

Kodiak: Oh how I love this pup. Kodiak is a true gentleman. He is respectful and wants to make sure he isn't a bother. He is loving, gentle, calm and super sweet. He is on the submissive side of life and it will not take much correction to change his behavior if needed. This puppy is extremely smart and learns quickly. He is more of an introvert and seeks one-on-one attention and affection. He is confident and self-assured. Kodiak is a silver wolf gray in color and has a medium length coat with low undercoat that will not require much grooming. His ears will likely rise and he has light colored eyes. This is a strong, muscular male with a macho look about him. He has a large head and beautiful large size and overall body type. This puppy's calm affection is contageous. Great pup and I will keep his price high because if he does not sell for that price, I would love to keep him to further the breed.

Loud object: This puppy initially startled then sat up and whined, but then stopped to listen to the loud sound. This puppy receives a score of 7 for this category.
Rough pet: This puppy sat still and was extremely quiet. He did not move forward nor backwards and was loose and confident. This puppy receives a score of 10 for this category.

Lift: This puppy's feet were loose and he was quiet for the entire lift. He did, however, open his mouth and move his head backwards looking at the handler in the eyes during the lift. He This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

Turn over: This puppy was loose for twenty seconds, then slightly moved his feet and head, but as he felt the resistance, he quickly became soft and supple again. He was very quiet throughout. This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

Basket: This puppy moved about the bottom of the basket, sniffing. He was quiet and calm. This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

Return: This puppy sat where placed and looked around. He was quiet and calm. Blue pup eventually came up to him. This puppy began to softly play with his sibling. This puppy receives a score of 9 for this category.

This puppy receives an overall score of 8.83 for this test.

Temp Test #2: 8.83

Temperament:

Kodiak is sweet and loving. He loves attention and affection from people. Kodiak is on the dominant side of things and takes charge over others. He does not back down easily from conflict and asserts himself with the ladies. Kodiak is indifferent to people and other dogs that he does not know, but he confidently goes up to anyone for a pet. He could take them or leave them, though, and prefers his people family and the familiarity of the dogs with which he lives. He likes consistency and routine. Kodiak is not nervous in new places, people and dogs. He only required confidence training through socialization in order to familiarize himself with places/sights/sounds outside of his home. Kodiak is not as interested in the concerns of human emotion as we like in our dogs. He does have a mind of his own and seeks his own satisfaction without thinking as much of his people. Kodiak is calm for the most part, but not as calm as we hope to achieve in our dogs. He has a tendency to vocalize when he wants something. He loves to run about the yard and is busy looking and sniffing from here to there on a walk. Kodiak is alert to his surroundings, but not as alert of our other dogs. Kodiak does not have too much prey drive. He will chase scents a short distance and look for things to pick up, but nothing extreme. Kodiak is appropriately touch sensitive, but is not as sensitive to touch as some of our other dogs. He does not require much touch in order to react. He is not as soft of a dog as some of our others. He can take a slightly firmer hand and not be bothered. Kodiak is not bothered by loud sounds in the least. He does not tremble at thunder or gun shots. It takes a lot for Kodiak to show that he is in pain. Kodiak has also inherited a slight possession trait. Although it is minimal and less than his father showed, he still feels it necessary to guard his food from other dogs and not allow other dogs to share his things when he is playing or eating.

- long silver male, some white on chest, front/back left white paws, white tipped tail, white toes on right

Conformation:

Kodiak has a lovely medium length coat with thick straight fur. He is a tri-silver wolf gray in color with a black mask and amber eyes. He has no white spotting. Kodiak has a longer tail that lies flat with a tendency to curve at the tip. He has a longer thicker mane, called a cape, that is soft and lush. Kodiak has a broad frame and a heavy weight, although he is not necessarily as tall as we like. Kodiak shows a thick bone structure and large-sized feet. Kodiak has a short thick neck and body length is correct. Kodiak can sway his back, which is not as desirable as a firm straight back. Kodiak has a minimal stop and slanted eyes. His ears did not rise completely, although they have risen at the base.

Faults:

Kodiak currently shows no faults in health. Kodiak shows no diversity in immunity, therefore, it will be necessary to counter this with a dog that has inherited differences in this area. He shows a sway back. He inherited the guarding/possession trait. He is not as aware as we like.
