GENERAL NOTES:

This puppy has long, lanky legs that will grow quickly over the first year and a half of life. For this reason, he often trips over them. He has a slight cow hock in both the front and rear legs.

This puppy is very sweet and loving. He is a follower and likes to follow the rules when he knows them. He is also highly submissive and compliant. And when he isn't compliant, it is because he is confused, not because he is willful. This puppy is soft-hearted and does not like to get in trouble. He is highly intelligent and learns new tasks with ease, needing only one or two repetitions to understand, as long as they are clear and consistent. This puppy would perform well with balanced training methods with a clear use of positive, reward-based training for tasks he doesn't know how to do. When he gets confused, he will avoid the task, so it's important to introduce new tasks with clarity. This puppy is an excellent devoted, loyal companion dog, and as such, he has lower motivation to perform, especially tasks that are hard for him. He is not innately confident, but neither is he fearful. Instead, he is cautious and doesn't want to do something wrong, so he hesitates to make sure he will be correct in the eyes of the alpha in his life. This puppy does not want to lead, preferring to follow and be led. He is not aggressive or possessive in any way. This puppy loves to snuggle and live in comfort. He would be excellent with children, other dogs that aren't dominant in nature, and cats or other small animals. He has a low prey drive and a desire to stay close to home, not wander or roam. This puppy has a calm mind with patience to wait calmly until its his turn.

GENERAL NOTES:

This puppy is tall in height, but he has an overall thinner frame. He has a medium length coat type with no featherings and a high shedding coat that self cleans. No real grooming required other than during the changing seasons when he will "blow" his undercoat. This puppy has furnishings (longer wisps of hair on his chin and at the corners of his mouth). This puppy has soulful, sad eyes that penetrate to your heart. He is very emotionally expressive with his facial features. You'll know instantly when he smiles or is sad. This puppy has extra large paws compared to his bone thickness. He has a long tail an no white spotting. He currently has drop ears, despite both of his parents having erect ears. They may still rise, but at this point there is not real lift to them.
