BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy was born head first with his sack intact at 10:45 pm. He weighed 1 lbs 2 oz.
GENERAL NOTES:
This puppy is highly intelligent with a confident radiance about him. He has some energy to play and isn't super serious. He is not always goofy, though, either. A good balance between playful and serious. This puppy talks about his feelings. He grunts softly whenever he wants something or hopes for acknowledgement from his person. This puppy is highly submissive and will bend to the will of others easily, although he will test the boundary to see how firm it is. This puppy is confident and more on the bold side, not cautious like a few of his siblings. This puppy will be tolerant of many things in life, easy-going, and not riled up easily. This puppy is very smart and alert, wanting to soak up knowledge and find out how the world operates. He would benefit from a family who can set good boundaries and lead him to be the best he can be. He would do best with a balanced training philosophy with a slant toward positive training. He is not independent and wants to be led, but in the absence of a strong leader, he will take charge if he has to... although that's not is preference. This puppy will be initially inquisitive, but with negative experiences, this puppy may lose confidence in the emotional safety of his environment. Apart from the grunting and vocalizing his desires in life, this puppy is an ideal American Dirus™ dog temperament. With the right experiences in life that aid in building a trusting, bonded relationship with his family, as well as maintaining a good level of emotional confidence, this puppy will be one of the best dogs for so many different types of families.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #2
This puppy was still, loose, and silent during the rough pet. He was laying down throughout and did not stand or move forward or backward throughout. This puppy was loose, still, and silent during the lift. This puppy was loose, still, and silent during the turn. His tail was drawn up, but wasn't stiff. He tested the physical boundary of whether he could right himself or not. When he was met with resistance, he submitted and returned to a loose position, letting his tail and head dangle freely in the handler's arms. This puppy sniffed heavily all around the handler's body when placed in an unfamiliar environment. He initially presented with a stiff head when touched on the head, but only for the first touch. Other touches resulted in his relaxed state. He was not vocal in any way during this task. This puppy looked around the sides of the basket from a downed position. He did not attempt to move in any way and was silent throughout. This puppy remained where he was placed with put back into the den away from his siblings. He wobbled over to the handler, sniffed her feet, then laid down and went to sleep with his nose touching the handler. He was silent and did not attempt to return to his siblings.
This puppy receives an overall score of 9.5 for this second temperament test.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #1
This puppy constantly and consistently grunted softly for the majority of the first 24-hours after birth. This puppy was still when lifted and turned. He grunted his displeasure. He bobbed his head around on the scale, but was otherwise still and silent. This puppy moves easily to the milk bar and seems to know right where he is.
This puppy receives a score of 8 for this first temperament test.
BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy was quiet just after birth for about five minutes, then mom scared him when she moved and he wasn't prepared and he began grunting. He continued to grunt along with his sister for at least an hour. He isn't as loud as his sister, but still constant.
4 WEEK UPDATE:
This is a giant silver male and should reach 140 lbs as an adult. This puppy looks to have a wolf mask that is lightening up now just like a wolf's muzzle does. This puppy appears to have very light amber or yellow eyes. This puppy has a medium length coat, not long nor short. This puppy has a slightly curled tail that will lift when excited, but not curl completely over the back.
BIRTH NOTES:
Large silver male with two white toes on both of his back feet.
