TWO WEEK UPDATE:
This puppy is robust and healthy. He eats well and has good energy. This puppy weighs 4 lbs, 4 oz at 2 weeks old.
BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy was born at 1:15 a.m. He was born head first with the sack intact until the last minute, at which time, his head was exposed and he could breathe despite being half in and half out of the vaginal canal. He had a difficult time exiting at the very end as the opening to the outside world was tight. However, Jengu is an excellent pusher and because he could breathe, it all worked out in the end.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #2
This puppy sat still, loose, and quiet during the rough pet. He did not move in any way. This puppy was loose, still, and quiet during the lift. This puppy was loose and quiet during the turn. He did move his left back foot slightly. He also relaxed his head and then tensed it a bit before giving half a yawn. His tail laid on his belly throughout, but it was loose. He did not make any noise. This puppy looked all around the basket without much body movement. He was quiet and his body was loose. This puppy sat for a few seconds as if thinking, then rose to waddle back to the puppy pile.
This puppy receives a score of 8.5 for this temperament test.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #1
This puppy was quiet for the first 24 hours after birth. This puppy wiggled on the scale, but was not in distress. This puppy wiggled with picked up and held, but did not cry out. This puppy knew exactly where to go and how to get there.
This puppy receives a score of 7 for this first temperament test.
BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy was wiggly on the scale, but quiet about it. He didn't stop moving, even when picked up or held. This puppy doesn't whimper or cry out except when he is cold, which is understandable. This puppy went right to the milk bar as if he knew exactly what to do.
TWO WEEK UPDATE:
This puppy likely has a wolf mask. It looks like there is already some lightening of his muzzle going on. He is a silver sable in coloration. He his filled out and is plump and muscular with a denseness to his build. This puppy has a medium length coat type.
BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy is a solid black color at birth, although I suspect he might be a silver sable color when he dries off. This puppy has a small white patch on his chest and a little bit of white on his front left toes, which will go away or blend into his other fur as he grows. This puppy also has a long, thin tail with an overall thinner build.
