WEEK TWO OBSERVATIONS
This puppy is robust and growing large and strong. She may have a slight overbite at this time.
BIRTH
This puppy came into the world head first with the sack intact. It was difficult to remove the sack because the puppy was wriggling inside it upon delivery. The puppy continued to thrash even after the sack was broken, as if trying to get out on her own. This puppy moved instantly with a strength and conviction.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #2
This puppy lifted her head when pet. She moved her front feet back slightly, but she couldn't move backwards as there was a wall. She was silent throughout. This puppy was loose, silent and still during the lift. This puppy cried out briefly when turned. This puppy tried to right herself, but finding resistance, she became loose. She then yawned while moving her back feet slightly. She was silent. This puppy's head stiffened quite a bit during the head pet in an unfamiliar location. She also licked her lips. She then turned her head into the crook of the handler's elbow. This puppy initially looked around when placed back into the den away from her siblings. She then saw a pup close by and went to lay on top of that puppy. She was silent throughout.
This puppy receives a score of 6.5 for this second temperament test.
WEEK TWO OBSERVATIONS
This puppy does the funniest thing. She will deliberately get herself into a placed behind or to the side of her mother where she is pinned in or boxed in. Then she will cry out for help. This puppy knows exactly where she is, but does this trick anyway. It is unclear why. This also howls when she is bored and doesn't want to sleep. She stops when touched, as if she needed reassurance or support. It is curious. She is quite the unique character.
WEEK ONE OBSERVATIONS
This puppy has shown frustration when Dreamer leaves, crying out and carrying on, not interested in her siblings. This puppy will likely be strongly bonded to her family. She may also show some persistent stubbornness. Breeder's recommendation would be to not allow her to get away with carrying on, but stand firm in consistent correction to teach her how to learn patience.
24 HOURS - PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS
This puppy is an intelligent working type of female. She knows what she wants and goes after it. This female will be a good candidate for a family who is more on the active side and can keep up with her mind. She would be good at obedience tasks and likely fetch, hiking, boating, etc. She is smart and can figure things out with an easiness that will startle you. She is quiet until she is disturbed, at which point, she protests loudly. This generally means she may bark more readily at strangers coming to the house that she doesn't know as a warning to the family.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #1
This puppy came out moving! She has some energy and conviction about her. This puppy is quiet, but can grunt loudly when upset. This puppy wiggled on the scale, but not violently, more like a deliberate movement seeking or scanning. This puppy sniffed around the blankets when placed back away from mom. She did not attempt to move in any direction. Instead, she simply sniffed as if thinking. This puppy was loose when picked up.
This puppy receives a score of 6.5 for this temperament test.
WEEK TWO OBSERVATIONS
This puppy has shot up in her growth rate and is now the second largest puppy in the litter. We now anticipate that she will be a giant-sized female weighing ~110 lbs. She has silver undertones on her back. She now looks to be more silver than gold, perhaps lightening up as she grows. This puppy is likely a tri-gold sable, meaning she shows silver/gold/black (three colors) in her coat with gold being the main undertone.
WEEK ONE OBSERVATIONS
This puppy is growing quickly and keeping up with her larger brothers. This puppy will likely be an extra-large to giant-sized female... ~110 lbs. She is definitely a gold wolf gray with a black mask.
BIRTH NOTES
This puppy is an extra-large wolf sable female weighing 1 lbs. 4.5 oz at birth. She is long in body and leg length. She might be an extra-tall puppy. She has a long thin tail with a white tip. She has white on all four paws and on her chest. Her nose has some pink on it at birth. It is hard to tell if she is a gold or silver at the time of her birth. We'll know more about this as she grows.
