This puppy is extremely healthy and vibrant. No indication of any ill-health at this time.

General Behavioral Observations:
This puppy has a voice and will cry out when he wants his mommy. He is quiet unless he wants something. At that point, he will cry out for someone to come to his aid. This puppy grunts when he can't get where he wants to go, such as an obstruction in his path. He doesn't always problem solve a way around the obstruction, but grunts and tries to bully forward hoping the structure will give to his bulk and size.

Temperament Test #2:
This puppy was lying down during the rough pet. He lifted his head and sat up, but at the same time scooted his fanny forward slightly. He yawned and kept his tongue out. He was not stiff and did not make any noise. This puppy was loose, still, and quiet during the list. His tail was curled up to the side of his body, though. This puppy was relaxed completely during the turn. His head relaxed so much that it tilted back against the edge of the handler's hands. This puppy was quiet and still. He did not yawn during this task. This puppy was slightly head shy when placed in an unfamiliar environment and pet on the head. This puppy yawned at the handler one time during the close pet. This puppy looked back at the handler's feet when placed back into the den away from his siblings. He sniffed in the handler's direction, waited a few seconds, then sauntered off in the opposite direction toward the puppy pile. He climbed onto the puppy pile and closed his eyes.
This puppy receives a score of 8.5 for this temperament test.

Temperament Test #1:
This puppy grunted slightly and moved in a straight line forward when touched. This puppy was relatively quiet for the first eight hours after birth, but he grunted and cried out whenever he needed anything or was moved/touched. This puppy wiggled when lifted, but was quiet. This puppy moved his feet when turned, but was quiet. This puppy grunted heavily and moved forward without hesitation when placed back in the den away from mom. He propelled himself forward with strength.
This puppy receives a score of 7.8 for this temperament test.

General Appearance Observations:
This puppy is the largest puppy in the litter with the broadest, heaviest head shape. He has a giant frame with thickness to his structure. This puppy has floppy ears that are loose and do not stand firm in any direction when moved about. This puppy appears to be a bi-color, chocolate and tan. Very unique, especially with his bright yellow eyes. He has the thickest build of the puppies in this first generation litter.

Birth Notes:
Opal’s first puppy born at 4:45pm is an extra large solid chocolate male weighing 1 lbs 7 oz at birth. He is thick, solid, muscular, and strong. He has a large, broad head. He will likely look like the biggest gosh-darn chocolate Labrador Retriever you have ever seen! People will gawk in awe at your Lab’s size exclaiming, “Where did you get THAT dog?” This puppy will have bright yellow eyes, as all chocolate colored dogs have yellow eyes. (green)
