THIRD PUPPY born at 8:40 am is an another large black wolf sable female weighing in at 1 lbs 7.75 oz. She came into the world headfirst with the sack intact, but it broke on its own upon delivery.

She is long with two small white patches on her chest, a small white tipped tail, and white on all of her toes. Otherwise she is solid including a deep black nose. This puppy is quiet and appears to move with deliberation. I noticed that she stood up on her back legs and walked a step several times when she wanted to get closer to her mom. That is something I have never witnessed in a newborn, although I remember Lois saying she saw a newborn pup do that before. Very rare for that to happen.

Ruff pet, wants to move to pack, LUP: still quiet and loose at lift, still quiet and loose at turn, no head shyness, tiny soft grunting. Put back: sniffing handler’s hand, remaining with tongue flick on handler’s hand. Remained where placed.

This puppy is a large gold wolf sable female with yellow eyes. She has some white spotting, but not significant. She has a medium length coat type that may have the feathering feature. If she does, this will result in longer hairs that grow between her toes, behind her legs, on her tail, and behind her ears. These longer hairs will require regular brushing as they have a tendency to mat.
