Health:

Kerberos is extremely healthy. He has not had any medical issues to date. He has not had any tremors, seizures, weakness in the legs or feet, limping, panosteitis symptoms, issues with his eyes or ears, excessive scratching or other allergy symptoms, soft stools, etc.  He runs, jumps, lopes, lies down, etc without any difficulty. He has never showed signs of pain or any symptoms of illness at any time.  He is extremely healthy and vibrant.  

Temperament:

Kerberos is a loving, affectionate dog. He wants to be close and in fact, sometimes he can't get close enough and fidgets to move his body into yours. Kerberos has more energy than we ultimately want in the breed. He has a need for exercise in the form of play and full out running. He is a goofy sort of dog and tripped over his own feet as a puppy. He has a clownish disposition and is not a serious type of dog, but more of a fun-loving, playful type. Kerberos has a tendency to bark at passers-by, including other dogs or animals. He does not bark indiscriminantly, but does bark more than is needed. He required consistent and strong reminders, especially when he decided that barking at raccoons in the middle of the night was a good idea. He eventually got the idea that barking was unwanted and now refrains from barking. However, he may pass this tendency on in his puppies. Kerberos is slightly on the submissive side and does not like to get in trouble. He easily shows remorse when scolded. Kerberos is on the friendly side of life. He doesn't know a stranger and loves most people equally well, although he does reserve his sweetest affection for his family. Kerberos is a confident dog and is not nervous. Kerberos is bonded to his family and wants to please them. He does not tend to wander or roam and keeps boundaries well, although he does seek entertainment and if a dog is on the other side of the fence, he has a tendency to want to find a way out to play with them. Kerberos is alert and aware of his surroundings. Kerberos loves to play with toys and does have some drive. Kerberos is a somewhat hard dog and can take a lot of pressure. He likes rough petting and grooming and has difficulty lying still. Kerberos is not sound sensitive and does not mind thunder, gun shots, or fireworks. Kerberos has a somewhat lower pain threshold than we like. He easily feels physical pain and shows it if he gets hurt. Interestingly, he also easily shows emotional pain when upset. 

Conformation:

Kerberos has a beautiful structure. He has large slightly splayed feet and a straight back with a tail coming off the top of his rear. He has a short, thick neck and a large head. His ears are nicely positioned and medium in size. Kerberos has a shorter muzzle, which we prefer with a stop that drops just a bit too angled instead of a nice gentler slope. Kerberos has highly slanted almond-shaped, amber-colored eyes. He has a perfect bite with well positioned teeth. Kerberos has a thinner bone structure than we ultimately want within the breed, but he has filled out nicely as he has grown and shows a broad back and rear. Kerberos stands 26 inches in height and weighs 100 pounds. His coat is medium in length with an adequate amount of undercoat. He also shows a longer mane and cape as well as a well furred tail and ears. Kerberos is a red wolf gray coloring with a white mask. 

Faults: 

Kerberos does not have any faults in health. Kerberos has slightly more energy than we want overall in the breed. This cuppled with his goofiness and ability to take a lot of pressure creates a dog that can be difficult to train. He requires consistently strong rules. His bone structure is thinner and his tail is slightly too long. His left ear had difficulty rising. Kerberos shows white spotting, including a snow nose.
