BIRTH NOTES:
Born at 6:15 am 11 ounces, head first, born outside then brought into the house just after birth. This puppy looked to be a premie at birth. He seemed slightly underdeveloped as far as his cognitive abilities were concerned. He required constant feeding (first dropper then bottle) with puppy formula supplementation until he was able to learn to latch onto the teat on his own. This took three days.
GENERAL NOTES:
This puppy is extremely calm and quiet. He is submissive and giving to his other siblings. He can and does play, but not rough and not with exuberance. This puppy doesn't like being lifted and will cling to the person with his front paws. He will open his mouth slightly, as if enduring a great challenge. This puppy does not complain. He allows the human to be the leader. This puppy is excellent in temperament. If he wasn't a premie and needed special support just after birth, he would not be leaving Dire Wolf Project™ headquarters simply due to his superior temperament.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #2:
This puppy sat still and quiet for the rough pet. He was completely loose and silent during the lift. He was quiet, still, and loose during the turn. This puppy flinched slightly when touched on the head by a human in an unfamiliar location. This puppy sat quietly when placed back into the den away from his siblings.
This puppy receives a score of 9 for this temperament test.
TEMPERAMENT TEST #1:
This puppy was quiet for the first 24-hours after birth. He fussed a little when turned over on his back. He moved some on the scale, as if searching, although he was quiet. This puppy did not mind being picked up, held by a human, or examined.
This puppy receives a score of 8 for this first temperament test.
BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy is generally quiet and calm. He fussed a bit and wiggled his feet in an effort to right himself when turned over on his back. He wiggled his head back and forth on the scale, otherwise this puppy is calm. This puppy is extremely quiet and calm. He doesn't complain when moved or touched.
5 WEEK UPDATE
This puppy is small in overall size and light in weight. He is perfectly proportioned, otherwise. I imagine he'll reach 90-95 lbs as an adult. This puppy has a long coat, but it does not appear that he has furnishings. He does not have feathering. This puppy will have a high-shedding coat that will be self-cleaning.
BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy is a large dark silver male without white spotting. He is tiny and small for a newborn.
