This puppy was born today. When she arrived, her sack was broken and her placenta had wrapped around her neck and chest, binding her airway. However, she had miraculously not taken a breath until she was able to be relieved of her bindings once she slipped into the world. She weighed 1 lbs. 4 oz. at birth. She was healthy and robust without any phlegm in her lungs.

BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy grunts when she is licked by mom. She coos when held by a human. She does not mind being pushed around my her mom, but she does grunt and cry out when her mom leaves her all alone. This puppy is a singleton puppy, so some of her temperament scores may be skewed as a result of not having other siblings to learn from early in life. This puppy does not move much at all. She stays in one place... a place that is both warm and where she can eat. She does not travel around her mom, although it does appear that she knows how to get back to mom when mom returns after an absence. This puppy did not wiggle on the scale, but she did vocally protest being held and turned. She resisted by directed to a nipple, as well, when she couldn't find one.

BIRTH NOTES:
This puppy was born black, but as she dried her silver coat began to emerge. This puppy is an extra-large silver wolf sable female. She weighed 1 lbs. 4 oz. at birth, which is an average weight at birth for an American Dirus puppy. She has a long tail. She does not have any white spotting whatsoever. She has a broad head shape. She appears to have a medium coat length.
