Zorro was born on August 4, 2003 and died at 8 years old due to complications from a bladder stone.  He was an American Select Champion and won numerous awards for his health, temperament and beauty.  Zorro sired many litters throughout his career, his last one at Vallecito Alsatians.  We were thrilled to be able to have had this incredible opportunity to experience such a great dog.

Health:

Zorro was extremely healthy.  He had never shown any health concerns at any time during his lifetime.  He has had hip and elbow x-rays and both are rated well within the normal range.  He had never shown signs of panosteitis, tremors, disorientation, seizures, bloat or other stomach conditions.  His heart was normal as well as his eyes and ears.  Zorro did not have any allergies to food medication and had never shown excessive itching and/or biting behaviors due to skin allergies.

Temperament:

Zorro was extremely loving and craved attention and affection.  He was calm and quiet, but was slightly pushy for attention when he was excited to be near.  Zorro was extremely patient with other dogs and strange people, especially children.  He took new opportunities well and was quite confident when presented with challenges.  He was extremely intelligent and had learned all the basic obedience commands such as come, sit, stand, lie down, stay, up, no, and heel.

Conformation:

Zorro was solidly built with large strong bones.  He had large feet and threw only heavy, thick-boned pups.  Zorro was 26 inches tall and weighed 110 pounds.  He was a dark tri-golden sable showing some silver in his undercoat.  He threw both silvers and golds.  Zorro had light amber eyes and threw yellow eyes in his pups.  His ears were both solidly erect.
