Puppy #6 - Cherry - Sixth puppy born at 4:25pm PST is a weighing 1 lb 6 oz.

Note: All puppies were not affected in any way by a loud, sudden clanging sound. They did not flinch and hardly moved. They were awake and aware, but not traumatized or otherwise fearful of the sudden piercing sound. All puppies receive high scores on this section of the test.

She has already demonstrated intelligence and some willful independence.

This puppy came into the world very quiet and calm. She went right to mom's milk right after birth and drank heartily for a long qhile. She is generally quiet when eating and aware of her surroundings. She gets to where she is going with ease. This puppy did not mind being pet, but became agitated when lifted and turned. She was willful and determined. She cried out in a soft whine and moved with half-hearted attempts to right herself and get on solid ground. Mom was concerned. When placed back in the den, she moved her head from side to side, but did not attempt to move in any direction. When eventually placed back with her siblings, she immediately stopped whining/calling out and went directly to the middle of the pack on top of her siblings. This puppy receives a score of 8.14 for this temperament test.

This puppy was quiet during the pet. She initially moved in a forward motion, but then stopped and stood still accepting the pet. She was loose and quiet during the lift without crying out or struggle whatsoever. Upon the turn, she immediately (before the handler counted the first second) screamed out and flailed about with vigor. She eventually stopped flailing, but continued to scream and moan. When righted, she immediately stopped her complaining. She did not show any head flinching or head shyness when touched at this point. When placed into the basket, she moved about the basket as if searching. She was quiet, other than a few grunts. When placed back in the den, she cried out vigorously as if wanting to alert mom of her plight. She moved about in circles and did not find her pack by 30 seconds. When the handler moved her pack with the puppies, she calmed down immediately from her loud cries and went back to sleep.

This puppy recieves a score of 7.7 for this temperament test.
