Maugrim (Keeper)

Notes: 09/29/2013: Captain is a very loving young pup.  He has bonded very strongly with us and enjoys attention in the form of being pet, snuggling up under the chin and kisses on his cheek.  He almost seems starved for affection whenever we go in with him.  He wants to be as close as possible to us and one on one attention is better for him.  He is very smart.  He learns new tasks very quickly and routines help him know what is going to happen.  He uses his voice (whining) whenever he wants something and so we've been working on only giving him what he wants when he is quiet.  This should remain consistent for him until his whining habits stop altogether.  Also, he is a bit more reserved than the other two.  He hangs back from someone he doesn't know, sits on his haunches and observes.  He also turns his head away from sights and sounds that trouble him, although he does not flinch or move away.  These observations are neither good nor bad but help to determine his training course of action.  Positive socialization training toward people of all sorts, but never forced and only when he is comfortable, will benefit him a great deal.
