Sat with the puppies today and noticed a few things about each of them that I wanted to share here for you.

Gentle Ben: This puppy is a beautiful Wolfie-looking boy with a gorgeous light silver wolf gray coloring. He has a plush coat type with a thicker undercoat and light eyes. He is a calm and intuitive pup that is more introverted in nature. Because he is going through a shy period at this time, he shows that he will require socialization training to keep his confidence on the rise. This puppy is gentle and loving at this time, but is not an explorer and prefers routine and someone who can understand his more sensitive side. Gentle Ben has a bit of indepdence and has his own mind about things, but isn't one to take charge. He is a follower and would rather have another lead. This will be great for puppy training as routine and consistent training will be great for him. This puppy is a large male and I give his ears a 50/50 chance of rising at this time. He has large paws and will be strikingly beautiful as an adult. A glamorous, striking puppy that will turn heads and stop traffic.

How does this pup come into the world?

This puppy was not breathing at birth. He soon recovered on his own, but cried a bit after birth. This puppy receives a score of 7 for this section.

This puppy was loose and calm. He did not cry out or whine or scream. This puppy moved its legs slightly when the handler moved him to the left slightly as mom was going to interfere with the test. This puppy quickly became loose again once the movement stopped. This puppy did not move on the scale. This puppy receives a score of 10 for this section.

What is the reaction of this pup when turned over on its back?

This puppy remained loose and calm, as if sleeping. He flinched his legs once, but did not make any sounds nor struggle in any way. This puppy receives a score of 10 for this section.

What is the reaction of this pup when placed back with its mother?

This puppy lie where he was placed and went to sleep. He did not try to go back to mom or to the puppy pile. He was quiet. This puppy receives a score 10+ for this section.

What is the reaction of this pup when touched by a human?

This puppy raised its head and moved it slightly from side to side. He did not move forward or recoil. This puppy was silent during the test. This puppy receives a score of 8 for this section.

Loud object: This puppy deliberately moved to edge of the whelping pen and hid under the plastic edge. He was stiff and when touched, he flinched. This puppy receives a score of 6 for this category. 
Rough pet: This puppy moved right away toward the pile of puppies. Some soft grunting. This puppy receives a score of 6 for this category.

Lift: This puppy remained loose and quiet, but yawned frequently. This puppy receives a score of 8 for this category.

Turn over: This puppy was quiet and still for fifteen seconds, then some flailing and pumping of his feet. He was relatively quiet with some grunting, then he gave a feeble sigh and was loose, however, he began to lick his lips in submission. This puppy receives a score of 5 for this category.

Basket: This puppy did not move much, but look around the bottom. He was somewhat stiff when hi poke his nose on the side of the basket and exhibited some soft grunting. This puppy receives a score of 7 for this category. 

Return: This puppy stood in place for a good while when went opposite of the pack and along the edge until he found the corner, where you lie grunting. This puppy receives a score of 5 for this category.
