09-29-2019 - Raksha perked back up again after twenty-four hours and is back with her siblings now as if nothing every happened. She's such a trooper. She really bonded with me during this time and now has such a strong desire to be with me whenever I see her in the puppy nursery.

09-28-2019 - Raksha has come into the house for medical intervention due to being severely dehdrated. It appears that she has not been able to drink from mom's milk as often as the other puppies and/or may be having a slight reaction to the Neopar vaccine and needs her electrolytes replenished as well as significantly increase her fluid consumption beyond the normal means. She remained in the house overnight and throughout the next day and has regained her strength and now looks to be normally hydrated. She continues to eat, drink, sleep, urinate, and deficate at normal rates now. We will place her back with the other pups once she regains her normal activity level.

09-27-2019 - gave all puppies one dose of Neopar, a vaccine that targets both strains of parvovirus.

Temperament Testing #2
Puppy #1 (Sköll): no movement upon the touch, no grunting or noise and the lift was loose, he was loose upon the turn for one minutes then fierce struggle. He was silent during the struggle. He eventually submitted. When placed back with his pack, he went slowly back to the pack. This puppy receives a score of 7.5 for this test.

Puppy #2 (Nighteyes): This puppy showed no movement backwards or forwards during the rough pet. He was silent and loose. He was also silent and loose during the lift. He did not struggle or seem in any way tramatized. When turned over, he whined about it, but remained loose and still. When placed back into the den away from his siblings, he stayed in place and went to sleep. This puppy receives a score of 9 for this test.

Puppy #3 (Raksha): This puppy did not show any movement backward or forward during the rough pet and was completely silent. She was loose, still, and silent during the lift. She was loose for ten seconds during the turn, but then began fierce struggling until she completely submitted. She only showed soft grunting during this struggle. When placed back in the den away from her siblings, she opted to go right back to the pile, going under a few pups instead of laying on top. This puppy receives a score of 6.75 for this test.

Puppy #4 (Akela): This puppy moved slightly foward during the rough pet. There wasn't much energy or propulsion to the movements, however. He was silent during the pet. This puppy loose, still and silent during the lift. He was initially loose during the turn and remained quiet and loose for one minute. Then, he half-heartedly struggled for a feeble attempt to right himself. When that attempt failed, he submitted. He was quiet during this struggle. This puppy moved back to the pack of puppies when placed back away from his siblings. He was quiet at this time. This puppy receives a score of 8.25 for this test.

Puppy #5 (Moro): This puppy did not struggle or show any movement backwards or forwards upon the rough pet. She yelped out in seeming surprise when the handler's hands went under her arms for the lift, but then immediately quieted and relaxed. She was loose during the entire lift. This puppy was relaxed, loose, and still during the turn. She did stretch her legs out and whined slightly at the beginning. She was still for the first minute with some struggled after that, but it was a feeble attempt. She then submitted and remained relaxed. This puppy was not stiff and did not show an elevated heart rate. When she was placed back in the den away from the others, she stayed where she was placed. This puppy receives a score of 8.25 for this test.

Puppy #6 (Odin): This puppy moved forward during the rough pet, although he was silent. He was loose, still, and quiet during the lift. This puppy was initially loose and silent during the turn, but then put up a huge fight until he eventually submitted. He grunted all the while during the turn and continued grunting even after he submitted. When placed back in the den away from his siblings, he continued to grunt in seeming continued displeasure. He went immediately back to the pile of puppies and went to sleep. This puppy receives a score of 6.5 for this test.

Puppy #7 (Angeline): This puppy was extremely whiny during the test. She remained whiny during each portion of the test. She grunted and whined during the rough pet, although she did not move backward or forward and was not stiff in any way. She struggled and cried out during the turn, trying to right herself. She traveled back to the pile of puppies when set back down into the den. This puppy receives a score of 6 for this test.

Puppy #8 (Lupa): This puppy moved backwards during the rough pet, although she was silent. She was loose, still, and silent during the lift. Puppy #9 (Kapugen): This puppy was still and loose during each portion of the test. She did not move away or backward during the rough pet and was silent throughout. She was loose, still, and silent during the lift. This puppy closed her eyes during the turn and was completely loose, still and silent. When put back down into the den, she did not seek to move toward the pile, but seemed content to be where she was placed. She closed her eyes and went to sleep in that spot. This puppy receives a score of 10 for this test.
